FO: The Pool Socks

Posted in Uncategorized at 6:03 pm by rynserenity

Pattern: My Own (sorta)
Needles: Susan Bates US1 DPN’s (set of four, since that’s all my LYS had in that size, that I could afford)
Yarn: Pagewood Farms Hand-dyed Sock Yarn in Turquoise
Modifications: None, since this was basically my own pattern. I got the base numbers from the Basic Toe-Up Formula, then did the rest myself.

I can’t wait to cast on for my next pair!

    YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! They look fabulous!!!
I checked out the website you sent me where you bought this yarn from, and am jealous I can’t just order it online!!!

That is an awesome color. I love “cool brights” like turquoise and hot pink. They keep me from wearing black all the time.

Socks still befuddle me. I’ll make sweaters, sure, but socks? It’s that heel-turning thing that gets me. I don’t like to start a project unless I know the stitches, etc. involved, and just READING about sock knitting is getting me nowhere. I know I have to sit down and just do it.
